A number of memorials have been set up, flags are flying half-staff, and a memorial service is planned, for a Salinas educator who died over the weekend. Bolsa Knolls Middle School Principal John Gutierrez reportedly died in his sleep Sunday morning in his Greenfield home. He was known for pushing his students to excel, spent 29 years in education….all of it with the Santa Rita School District.
