A Salinas man died and two officers suffered minor injuries following a domestic disturbance Friday night. Officers arrived at the home following reports of a man assaulting his spouse with a knife and screwdriver. 35-year-old Jaime Garcia appeared under the influence of drugs and was combative. Officers were unable to subdue Garcia with a Taser. The man went into medical distress and was transported to the hospital where he died shortly after. The incident is currently under investigation.
