A Salinas man accused of committing a crime spree across Monterey County has pleaded not guilty. 19-year-old Anthony Romero was arrested Friday after he allegedly robbed and fatally shot a Salinas shop owner, before robbing two others, including a man from Castroville and a teenager. Romero appeared in court yesterday, where he pleaded not guilty to all charges against him and denied multiple special enhancements. Romero is due back in court November 18th.
