Salinas police are investigating a double homicide that took place on Saturday. At about 7:30 p.m. patrol units responded to reports of a shooting on the 1100 block of Granada Avenue. At the scene officers located a man and a woman with gunshot wounds the male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the female victim died while undergoing emergency surgery. Witnesses say the victims were cousins that were part of a group of people that were in the garage when one or two gunman opened fire into the group, before fleeing the area.
