The remains of a body found in the trunk of a burning car Sunday night in Salinas have been identified, as Salinas resident, 30-year old Raul Gonzalez. Police say Gonzalez was found in the trunk of a Volkswagen Beetle near Natividad and Rogge Roads. The car was engulfed in flames and the body was discovered in the trunk after fire crews put out the blaze. Anyone with information, is encouraged to contact the Salinas Police Department.
