The River Fire, that broke out in San Luis Obispo county on Monday, has destroyed 2 structures and damaged at least 9 others. The River Fire started near the Salinas Riverbed in the area of South River Road and Navajo Avenue in Paso Robles. The conflagration was 60 percent contained (at 15 acres) by yesterday morning. Evacuation orders and road closures are reportedly still in place in that area.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
An Evacuation Center is set up at the Paso Robles Senior Center located at 270 Scott Street.
