In the eight months since its grand opening, the renovated Monterey Convention Center has exceed estimates of its economic impact on the community. From January to June of this year, the center generated over $16-million-dollars for the Monterey economy. That’s almost $50-thousand-dollars more than the revenue estimate for all of 2018.
During the first six months of this year, the conference center hosted 30 different groups resulting in over 24-thousand room nights and $4-million-dollars for local hotels.
