Voter turnout is breaking records throughout the central coast.
In San Benito County, nearly half of the registered voters have already voted in person or by mail, along with several youth volunteers wanting to help that they had to be turned away.
Voting is slated to be held indoors and outdoors to accommodate those who want to cast their ballot in a socially distanced fashion.
Volunteers had to be turned away for Santa Cruz and Monterey county election offices, also due to overwhelming interest by those looking to lend a hand at the ballot box.
