People who got their “Real ID” cards (when the rules only required one form of ‘Proof Of Residency’) will get a break….kind of. Letters have been sent out to the 3 million cardholders about how they can satisfy the newer requirement for a second Proof Of Residency….without having to go into a d-m-v office.
Starting October 1st of 2020, people U.S. Residents will need either a “Real ID” drivers license or identification card, a passport (or other federally approved document), to board flights within the United States, access secure federal buildings such as courthouses, and/or enter military bases.
