A recent incident in which a Great Horned Owl died after consuming a rodent killed by rat poison is a reminder that poisons in the environment can have unintended consequences.
Rebecca Dmytryk of Humane Control http://humanecontrol.com specializes in non-lethal pest control. She says the owl and many other animals didn’t have to die to solve a rodent problem.
Dmytryk says the best way to control unwanted animals is to deny them food and patch or repair structures so they have no way to enter.
