A Scotts Valley High School and Cabrillo College alum tossed a scoreless inning for the Atlanta Braves over the holiday weekend. Relief picture Shane “Shugga” Carle, who’s birthday was last week, has a 3.0 earned-run average across the 56 innings he’s pitched so far this season for the Braves. The scoreless inning was in Carle’s first game back, after coming off the 10-day “disabled list”.
