An inmate in the states prison system ahs died of covid 19.The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed that an inmate at Salinas Valley State Prison died due to COVID-19. The inmate passed away while being treated at an outside facility. There are currently 37 active COVID-19 cases at Salinas Valley State Prison.
