The California Department of Public Health has released guidelines for reopening the Golden State’s playgrounds.
Playgrounds will be allowed to reopen in Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties.
Today’s guidance applies to outdoor playgrounds in parks, campgrounds, and other public locations, and it does not apply to indoor playgrounds or family entertainment centers.
Visitors over the age of 2 must wear a face covering that covers the nose and mouth, and caregiver supervision is required at all times to make sure they are being used. Visitors are asked not to use the playground with people from different households who cannot maintain 6 feet of distance or when the capacity is reached.
People with underlying medical conditions and the elderly are encouraged to avoid playgrounds when other people are there.
It is suggested that visitors wash or sanitize hands before and after using the playground, and eating or drinking at the playground is not allowed.
