Pacific Grove Police reports an uptick in catalytic converter thefts, with 8 reports filed since October.
As a result, they share the following tips to assist in preventing catalytic converter theft:
- Install protective plates that make it harder for them to be stolen
- Park in a locked garage or well-lit area, install motion sensor lights that cover where you park your car.
- Enable your vehicle alarm system
- Engrave your vehicle identification number prominently on the catalytic converter.
