Thousands of Pelagic Crabs are said to have washed ashore in the Pacific Grove area yesterday. Not many of them are expected to survive, as seagulls have been feasting on them since they hauled- out. Scientists say these crabs tend to do this along the Central Coast during “El Nino” conditions, because that’s when the ocean water is unusually warm.
