(17:28) WATSONVILLE/SALINAS – Local Assemblyman Luis Alejo has announced that he will try and beat out an incumbent for a seat on the Monterey County Board Of Supervisors. Fernando Armenta represents district one, which covers most of the urban portion of Salinas. Alejo, who plans to run for Senator Anthony Canella’s seat when Canella terms out in 2018, has already moved from Watsonville to Salinas, which makes him eligible to hold office in Monterey County.
