Otter Rehabilitation Success-12/25/16-1503-PMD

(15:14)MONTEREY- A sea otter is reportedly doing well after being returned to the wild. The otter was rescued last summer in the waters off of Morro Bay, after it sustained injuries from fishing line. The female otter was transported to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and placed into the care of otter specialist. After four months of treatment and rehabilitation otter 741 was released back into Morro Bay. Monitoring of the otter since her release last month indicates she is thriving in her native habitat.
