(14:34)SALINAS- A Salinas man has been arrested for an attempted suicide by cop incident. At about 10 a.m. an officer performing an investigation on the 600 block of Abbott Street was approached by by a man telling the officer to draw his gun. As the man approached he quickly pulled his hand out of his coat and pointed at the officer as if to shoot. When police determined the subject was pointing a cell phone at them. They holstered their pistols and armed themselves with tasers at which point 31 year old Roberto Torres Acosta surrendered to police and was taken to an area hospital for a mental health evaluation.
