(08:50) Santa Clara County – Cal Fire reported this morning that the Loma Fire has burned 4,474 acres and is at 81 percent containment. 12 residents and 16 outbuildings have been destroyed and 1 residence has been damaged. The evacuation order has been lifted for Summit Road from Loma Prieta Road to Highway 152 in Santa Clara County, effective: 12:00 PM yesterday. The road closure will re-open for residents only with ID. Loma Prieta Road will remain closed north of Loma Prieta Way. Firefighters hope to have full containment by October 8th. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
