(10:40) California – California State regulators are coming up with a plan to protect children from agriculture pesticides when they are at school or daycare. The California Department of Pesticide Regulation program would prohibit certain pesticides near schools and day cares. The proposed program would also require that when certain pesticides are used and within a quarter mile of a school or day care those growers and pest control contractors must inform those facilities as well as the county Agricultural Commissioners.
