(20:58)SALINAS- Salinas neighborhoods are preparing for El Nino fueled flooding. Groups of neighbors in the Russell and Paul Roads area were flooded under 18 inches of water last year due to a broken irrigation ditch. The flooding prompted the neighbors to stockpile sand bags, batteries, and pantry supplies. Several residents have also purchased rafts or small boats. The Salinas Fire Department has also invested in three rescue boats and protective gear in anticipation of a wet winter.
