(15:05)GILROY- A Gilroy woman thwarted an armed robbery attempt. The incident happened at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday near Clark And Crawford Drive. Authorities say the intended victim was cleaning her car when a heavy set Hispanic male in his late twenties brandished a pistol and demanded cash. The woman screamed and fought off the robber who fled in a white Toyota truc with a chrome roll bar. Ayone with information is encouraged to contact Gilroy police.
