There will soon be an empty lot where 22 bungalows used to stand on 1.5 acres at 350 Ocean Street. The bungalows, red-tagged two years ago as unsafe and a public nuisance, are making way for a $35 million 4-story apartment complex.
Developers say the 63-unit Ocean Street Apartments will help meet the need for affordable housing as well as denying a place for the criminals who had infested the bungalows to operate Demolition will continue into January with construction expected to begin in the spring.
