(06:40) Monterey County – Two people died in a car crash on Saturday near Gonzales. The accident happened on southbound Highway 101, north of Old Stage Road over crossing. The driver hit the guard rail head on. The guard rail went through the windshield hitting the passenger in the head and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Both died at the scene.
