(16:15) SALINAS- A Salinas woman has been found guilty of battery on a peace officer. Authorities say the conviction stems from an incident when a police officer responded to a report of a woman licking a sidewalk. The officer began interviewing 21 year old Ana Mendoza to determine her mental state. Mendoza abruptly fled the scene, the officer gave chase and apprehended Mendoza, who scratched and bit the officer as he placed her under arrest. The incident was captured on video by a body camera. Mendoza was sentenced to 73 days in jail and probation.
