Monterey County Supervisors have unanimously approved the issuing of fines for infractions of the current Facial Covering order. Those fines can be issued in all un-incorporated areas of the county. The administrative citations would start at 100 dollars (and then double for the 2nd citation)….and repeated violations could be prosecuted as a misdemeanor.
County Supervisors also approved hiring some temporary workers to enforce the new Health Order.
