A standoff situation in salinas ended today without any arrests. Salinas police officers and a swat team had shut down several streets in the area of archer street, after a suspect that was thought to be armed was seen near hartnell college. The man, reported to be 30-year-old Francisco marmelejo, fled from officers, and hid in (or near) an apartment complex on the 6-hundred block of archer street. marmelejo was not located, and is still being sought. Hartnell college was locked down during the incident, the campus was opened again just before noon.
