Salinas City Council members are expected to consider new zoning rules (LATER THIS MONTH), so that the old Salinas Californian newspaper building can be remodeled into housing units. Right now the building is currently zoned for commercial and office use, but some are saying it should be re-zoned for residential or mixed-use….the same as has been done with the Rabobank and Dick Bruhn buildings in Salinas.
