A massive manhunt is underway for the man who shot-and-killed a police officer in the Stanislaus County town of Newman early today. 33-ear-old Officer Ronil Singh died shortly before 1 AM after he was shot during a traffic stop.
Investigators said Singh cried “shots fired” into his radio, which then went silent. Responding officers found Singh, who was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have released a photo of the suspect and his vehicle, believed to be a gray, extended cab Dodge Ram pick-up truck.
A native of Fiji, Singh had worked for the Newman department since July 2011.
