2 survivors of last summer’s shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival have received new-to-them-vehicles. the grandmother of the 6 year-old boy who was shot and killed that day has received a refurbished Hyundai Sonata to replace her old falling-apart-vehicle. the car was donated by Geico Insurance, and Caliber Collision in Morgan Hill put in 130 hours to rebuild it for the family. Both the boy’s mother and grandmother were injured in the shooting that killed the 6 year-old. Another shooting victim, who can no longer drive a stick shift due to the result of being shot, was recently given an automatic S.U.V.
