Plans for the future of the dormant Cemex Cement Plant in Davenport are again being considered after a local aviation company pulled out of talks to purchase the plant.
On Wednesday, Santa Cruz County released a draft reuse plan detailing three potential uses for the site. Bonny Doon-based Joby Aviation had proposed to renovate the plant, which has been dormant since 2010, but backed out of negotiations in August.
A community meeting is planned for 6 PM on Nov. 8 at Pacific Elementary School to discuss the plan. Final adoption is subject to environmental review and action by the Board of Supervisors.
