New gun laws for 2019 mean more paperwork for firearm dealers.This year, minors are still allowed to purchase a gun in California, if they have hunting license or are in the military.In July of this year, it will become mandatory to get a background check before buying ammunition. And new this year anyone with a misdemeanor domestic violence conviction is banned from gun ownership for life.
