A new endoscopy ultrasound suite has been added to Dignity Health Dominican Hospital. That means that people in this area will now have another less invasive option to diagnose certain problems in the liver, pancreas and digestive tract. It cost 2.1 million dollars, and was first shown on Monday. Around 1.2 million of those dollars came from private donations. In the past Dominican had to refer 150 patients a year to facilities outside of Santa Cruz County. It is expected to benefit around 250 patients per year.
