Santa Cruz City Council members have voted 4-2 to advance the plan for a one-story new Downtown Library….that has affordable housing above, and an adjacent parking garage. It would be built on the parking lot that has housed the Downtown Farmers Market for years. The Farmers Market would then be moved to the parking lot at the intersection of Front and Cathcart Streets.
