The Harm Reduction Coalition Of Santa Cruz County’s needle program proposal (for Pajaro) has apparently been withdrawn. Although that plan won’t happen, the Harm Reduction Roadshow is expected to be handing out needles in Watsonville at the Salvation Army site on Union Street. Although some have expressed concerns over what appears to them to be an unregulated needle giveaway program, the organization says they are trying really hard to “slow the spread of preventable blood-born viruses and other injection-related infections”.
