The 151 year-old Register Pajaronian Newspaper has been sold to the entertainment-based “good times”….which itself is owned by the San Jose-based Metro Newspapers group. Because the Register-Pajaronian is a sister publication to the King City Rustler, the Greenfield News, the Soledad Bee, and the Gonzales Tribune…..all of those will be under Metro Newspaper’s oversight too. It’s not the first time that Metro Newspapers has been involved in a merger…..they merged their former Santa Cruz Weekly, with their primary local competitor in 2014 (when they merged the 2 under the ‘Good Times’ masthead).
