A Monterey County business has been fined for failing to pay its employees overtime wages and keeping inaccurate payroll records. Officials say Sergio and Everardo Valle, the owners of Papa Chano’s taqueria, did not pay nearly a dozen workers for overtime between April 2013 and June 2014. The business owners have been ordered to pay $36,000 in wages and damages. The Valle brothers have agreed to pay the fine in monthly payments.
