The Monterey City Council has approved $35,000 in new spending to prepare for and respond to the spread of coronavirus.
The money goes for community outreach, public facility sanitization, and public safety spending.
During yesterday’s council meeting the city also addressed concerns about a cruise ship visiting the city. City staff contacted the ship and said the crew reported no sick passengers yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
