After years of talks, the Monterey Regional Airport is getting serious about expansion. A 20-year master plan calls for a new terminal in the area that currently houses long-term parking.
The 100,000 square foot building would include all of the modern amenities including much-desired jetways.
The jetways or jet bridges would replace existing stairways used to board jets.
The renovations could also help bring in new flights. The first step in the process – with no date attached – would relocate airplane hangars to make room for improvements.
