MBAQ Lends Freezer….Again 02-18-21 23:25 S.S.

The ultra-cold freezer unit, that the Monterey Bay Aquarium had lent to Natividad Medical Center in Salinas, has now been moved to Mee Memorial Hospital in King City. That means that along with the Moderna Vaccine, that needs to be stored at -4 degrees Fahrenheit (which a standard freezer can handle)….Mee Memorial Hospital medical staff will be able to store and administer the Pfizer vaccine, which needs to be stored at minus-94 degrees Fahrenheit. Being able to store both vaccines is expected to mean that more south Monterey county residents, especially agricultural workers will be able to get vaccinated….hopefully ahead of the March arrival of the strawberry workers coming in from Arizona.
Natividad no longer needed the Aquarium’s freezer, because they had gotten their own back-ordered ultra-cold freezer.
