(10:46) MOSS LANDING- Fin whales have been spotted in the Monterey Bay. Eight of the endangered Fin Whales were spotted by marine scientist in the bay last week. The whales are up to 80 feet long and get there name from a dorsal fin on their backs. Fin whales are the second largest creatures on the planet next to Blue whales. They are rarely seen in the area and are thought to be feeding on krill brought into the bay by the recent spring upwelling.
