(18:59) SALINAS- A Salinas man who was struck by a car last month has died. 63 year old John Phillips, who suffered from mental illness, was struck while walking in the southbound lane of Natividad Road on April 21st . The driver remained on scene and was not charged with any wrong doing. On May 2nd, Phillips died as a result of his injuries. It was the fourth traffic related fatality in Salinas this year.
