(09:15) LOCKWOOD – The driver involved in a fatal crash in South Monterey County will not face charges. In April of last year, five men were travelling on Lockwood-San Lucas Road at Williams Hill Recreation Area when they drove off a 700-foot embankment. One of the passengers, 24-year-old Andrew Kruep, died at the scene. The other four men inside the car, including the driver, 24-year-old Spencer Blodgett, survived the crash. The family of Andrew Kruep has since announced that they do not want Blodgett to be charged for his role in the crash. The Monterey County District Attorney has chosen not to file charges. (S.G.)
