the marina city council has scheduled a meeting tonight to come to a decision about the controversial p-g-&-e smartmeters. the city faces three options, a temporary moratorium could be passed, the city could join a smartmeter opt-out program lawsuit, or the council could pass a resolution, sending a letter to the california public utilities commission. currently, cities have no AUTHORITY over p-g-&-e. the city of capitola recently voted not to enforce its moratorium.
