The Santa Cruz Sheriff’s office is conducting a survey of its public service. The department has adopted a policy suggested at a national level of conducting a three question survey of everyone that ahs requested service from the office. An officer calls back asking people who called for assistance, asking how long it took for officers to respond, their level of professionalism and if they helped resolve the problem. Officials say that it is part of an effort to bring the agency closer to the community.
