(07:58) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Salinas man has been sentenced for operating a chop shop. In August 2015, deputies found an abandoned, stolen Honda Civic that had been stripped of its parts on St. Charles Way. Following an investigation, deputies were led to the residence of 23-year-old Christian Giovanni Cruz. On the property, investigators found parts connected to the stolen Honda. Cruz admitted to stripping the vehicle of its parts. He has been sentenced to felony probation. (S.G.)
