March 24, 2016: Serial Bank Robber Arrested in Concord

(07:48) CONCORD – A man wanted in connection with nearly a dozen bank robberies in Northern California has been apprehended. The man, known as the “Bearded Bandit”, began committing heists in mid-February. The most recent robberies involved a Chase Bank in Lafayette and a Bank of Stockton in Rio Vista. Last week, the robber was caught on surveillance casing a bank in Prunedale and another in Watsonville. He was arrested Wednesday night after leading Brentwood officers on a pursuit. He is being held in Concord Jail. (S.G.)
