(08:27) SANTA CRUZ – Santa Cruz transportation officials has forwarded a plan to the city council that would change the direction of traffic on Pacific Avenue. The proposed two-year pilot program would direct incoming traffic south down Pacific Avenue all the way to the beach. Another change would include converting one section of the corridor between Church and Cathcart streets from northbound to southbound. This week, the Santa Cruz Transportation and Public Works Commission voted unanimously to recommend the pilot program to the city council. The city council will vote on the plan in coming weeks.
