March 2, 2016: Santa Cruz Sees Rise in Graffiti

(07:26) SANTA CRUZ – The City of Santa Cruz has been seeing a rise in graffiti cases. Last month, 378 tags were reported, which is 60% higher than the count from February of last year. The record number of tags has renewed community efforts to clean up the city. The Santa Cruz Economic Development Department is offering free graffiti removal kits. Property owners can also utilize a new app called Tuul, where users can report graffiti and have it removed within 48 hours. (S.G.)
