March 2, 2016: No One Injured in Fire at Monterey Trader Joe’s

(08:27) MONTEREY – No one was injured when a fire broke out at a Trader Joe’s in Monterey Tuesday morning. The blaze was reported at the grocery store on the 500 block of Munras Avenue around 11 a.m. Customers were evacuated while firefighters responded and extinguished the blaze. The store was closed for the rest of the day while crews cleaned up. The business reopened this morning at 8 a.m. Investigators say the fire was electrical and was sparked in the store’s meat storage unit. (S.G.)
